Off the coast of Japan 80 years ago, a naval captain ordered a burial at sea for a kamikaze pilot who died slamming his fighter plane into the American vessel.

Ensign Jack Carl Fuller received the Navy Cross, Air Medal, Purple Heart, American Area Campaign Medal, Asiatic-Pacific Area Campaign Medal, two Bronze Stars and World War II Victory Medal.
