A Des Moines man was found guilty of first-degree murder for shooting a 22-year-old during what prosecutors believe was a botched robbery attempt.

Des Moines police have closed East Tiffin Avenue between East 14th Street and York Street as officers investigate gunfire during a felony warrant check, DMPD said in a news release just before 4 p.m.
