Tiger Woods abruptly withdraws from the Genesis Invitational at Torrey Pines, saying he was still processing the death of his mother, who passed away last week.

Tiger Woods is not ready to return to golf after the death of his beloved mother, Kultida. Woods, 48, announced his withdrawal from the upcoming Genesis Invitational on Monday, February 10, as he continues to grieve.

Tiger Woods has backed out of the 2025 Genesis Invitational at Torrey Pines as he continues to mourn the death of his mother.

The tournament benefitting Tiger Woods’s foundation was moved from Los Angeles to San Diego due to the wildfires.

It's also disappointing that The Genesis was set to be the stage of Tiger Woods' return to the PGA Tour. It was announced late last week that Tiger, who also serves as the tournament's host, was ready to tee it up for the first time in an official event since The Open Championship last July.
