Even Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone-starrer romantic comedy Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani, which was re-released in cinemas on January 3, earned more money than Baby John on Monday.

Varun Dhawan has been the talk of the town ever since his film had hit the theatres. We are talking about Baby John which is an action drama also starring Wamiqa Gabbi, Keerthy Suresh, Jackie Shroff and Sanya Malhotra in the lead.

Baby John saw slight growth at the box office on its second Saturday. The film, headlined by Varun Dhawan, minted ₹80 lakhs on Day 11, as per industry tracker Sacnilk. The action thriller saw an overall 14.98% Hindi occupancy on January 4.

The Varun Dhawan starrer hit the big screens on December 25 and failed to impress the audience at the big screen ever since.

An adaptation of Atlee's 2016 Tamil hit Theri, Baby John has turned out to be one of the biggest Bollywood flops.

Varun discussed the adoption process, saying, "There was a definite purpose why Atlee presented this film to us. In order to use it as an adaptation rather than a true remake, we had to change a lot of the topography.
