The Israel Defence Forces (IDF) said that its forces had also struck Hezbollah targets near the Masnaa crossing, which is on a key road in the east used by people fleeing the violence. It claimed that the militia was using the road to smuggle weapons into Lebanon.

Israel’s military said it was striking Hezbollah targets in Beirut in the early hours on Wednesday, stating its operational capabilities have not been affected by Iran’s missile strikes.

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) said it was a "precise strike". Unlike for many of the other strikes targeting Hezbollah in recent days in Beirut’s southern suburbs, the IDF did not issue an evacuation order in advance.
