A 16-year-old boy intervened in an argument between his mom and her fiancé and killed a man, Texas deputies said. Randall Jolley, 39, was found lying on the ground of a Houston apartment with a stab wound in the late hours of March 1, according to the Harris County Sheriff’s Office. Deputies pronounced the man dead at the scene.

The incident was reported at about 10 a.m. Sunday at an apartment complex on Aldine Mail Route Road, according to deputies. Officials say a fight between neighbors led to the stabbing.
