Traffic on the Eisenhower and Route 83 was snarled when a truck carrying salt crashed about 1:20 p.m. Wednesday on an overpass in the westbound lanes of I-290 in Elmhurst. No injuries were reported.

According to Illinois State Police, the crash unfolded just before 1:30 p.m. along the Eisenhower Expressway on an overpass over Route 83 in Elmhurst, near the border into Addison, in DuPage County.
