Despite reports that a state judge in New York has put the brakes on Donald Trump’s sentencing in the hush-money case, court records show the sentencing as of now is still scheduled for Nov. 26.

Judge Juan Merchan is still considering how to proceed with sentencing given that Trump is now the president-elect and is preparing to take office in January.

Manhattan prosecutors on Tuesday told the judge presiding over President-elect Donald Trump’s criminal hush money case they concede he may need to consider pushing back sentencing until Trump is out of office — but they plan to fight Trump’s renewed efforts to get the verdict tossed.
