Seven regions within Los Angeles County are under a heat advisory as meteorologists expect high temperatures to return to Southern California.

A new wildfire was reported today at 9:11 p.m. in Los Angeles County. The wildfire has been burning on private land. There is no update on the containment progress of the fire and its cause remains undetermined.

If passed, Measure G would increase the number of supervisors who sit on the board from five to nine. Supporters say making the board larger would make it more responsive to and representative of L.A. County by entrusting each supervisor with smaller geographic areas and fewer people.
