A tragic accident on Mumford Road early Saturday morning has claimed two lives and left two others injured, according to Narragansett police. Around 1 am on Nov. 16, officers rushed to the scene after receiving reports of a car crash.

Two of the four occupants were pronounced dead at the scene, and the other two were taken to the hospital, police said.

The crash occurred on Mumford Road in Narragansett early Saturday morning. Two died at the scene, while two were taken to the hospital.

Police said around 1 a.m., officers were called to Mumford Road and found four people inside a vehicle involved.

A 26-year old and a 24-year-old were pronounced dead at the scene, the two other occupants were transported to the hospital, according to police.
