The first Jet2 flights to Iceland departed from Newcastle and Leeds Bradford Airports this morning, marking the start of the company's biggest ever programme to the country. The UK's largest operator of European city breaks will also operate their first flights for this winter from Birmingham and Manchester Airports tomorrow (October 3).

Jet2 have announced they will be flying to Agadir, Preveza, Marrakech, Porto and Barcelona from Newcastle Airport in summer 2026.

1.3 million seats are already on sale to more than 40 destinations, with increased capacity to six of the airport's most popular destinations

An expanded Jet2.com and Jet2holidays programme to Iceland this winter sees a year-on-year capacity hike of 13% with more than 30,000 seats on sale. The sister companies are operating an extended range of scheduled services and dedicated trips to the destination this winter.
