A suspect is in custody following random stabbings in New York City on Monday morning that left three people dead, police said.Police said a 51-year-old homeless man, identified as Ramon Rivera, was apprehended following the third attack and his been charged with three counts of murder.

The New York Police Department released a photo of the knives used in a deadly stabbing spree Monday in New York City, that killed two men and one woman. The suspect was taken into custody with the help of two good samaritans and a police officer.

The 51-year-old suspect was in police custody after being found with blood on his clothes and the two kitchen knives he was carrying, authorities said.
