In the races for U.S. Senate and U.S. House seats in Mississippi, both Republican incumbents, Roger Wicker and Mike Ezell respectively, won re-election, according to unofficial election returns Tuesday night.

Republican Roger Wicker beat Democrat Ty Pinkins for the U.S. Senate seat. Wicker has served in the U.S. Senate since December 2007. Republican Mike Ezell was reelected for a second term, beating Democrat Craig Raybon for the District 4 U.

Republican Sen. Roger Wicker of Mississippi has defeated Democrat Ty Pinkins, a challenger who received little financial support from his own party in a heavily Republican state. Wicker, 73, is extending his 30-year career on Capitol Hill.
