Vermont State Police have identified the person killed in a deadly house fire in Danby on Friday morning. Police say the fire was reported around 7:25 a.m. at a home on Old Otis Road. Crews from Danby and Tinmouth fire departments responded.

Vermont State Police said they have found the driver responsible for hitting a child with his vehicle over the weekend. The Westminster barracks said 61-year-old David Knapp of Vernon was behind the wheel of a Hyundai Accent that hit a student who was getting off of a school bus on Friday in Vernon.
