MONROE, La. (KNOE) - Meet Lucifer! He’s a western crowned pigeon hanging out at the Louisiana Purchase Gardens and Zoo in Monroe. This species is one of the largest in the pigeon family.

Despite being part of the pigeon family, Victoria crowned pigeons look nothing like the common wood pigeons found across the UK. The flamboyant birds are blue and red with a majestic crown of plumage.
