Several Egg Beaters and Bob Evans liquid egg substitutes were recalled in March 2025 due to potential contamination with cleaning solution containing sodium hypochlorite, per Cargill Kitchen Solutions and the USDA.

Over 212,000 pounds of liquid eggs manufactured by Cargill Kitchen Solutions are being recalled due to concerns that the products were mixed with a cleaning solution. The U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) announced the recall on March 28.
