Carter Verhaeghe had his fourth career hat trick, Sam Reinhart scored his 31st goal and the Florida Panthers beat New York 6-3 on Sunday night to end the Islanders' winning streak at seven games. Verhaeghe added an assist on Matthew Tkachuk's empty-netter for a four-point night.

Verhaeghe recorded his fourth career hat trick to lead the Florida Panthers to a 6-3 win over the New York Islanders at Amerant Bank Arena. It was Verhaeghe’s fourth career hat trick and first since April 1, 2023, when he scored four goals against the Columbus Blue Jackets.

Sam Reinhart forced a turnover in the Islanders zone and fed Carter Verhaeghe in front of the net. His quick forehand-backhand move cleared the top of the net for a perfectly placed shot under the crossbar, giving the Cats a 1-0 lead just 39 seconds into the game.
