Kyle Larson has claimed he would have won 50 races in the NASCAR Cup Series had the championship not introduced the Next Gen car in 2022. Larson, the driver of the #5 Hendrick Motorsport Chevrolet, made that comment after scoring his 30th career victory at Homestead-Miami last weekend.

NASCAR Cup Series driver Kyle Larson claimed that if he was racing in his 2021 Gen 6 Hendrick Motorsports car, he would have amassed at least 50 Cup Series wins. Larson stressed that the Next Gen car (Gen 7) has limited him from securing victories.
