Díaz was the All-Star Game MVP when he hit a two-run homer in the NL’s 3-2 victory in 2023. He batted .267 with 14 homers and a career-high 72 RBIs in 141 games with the Rockies that year.

The San Diego Padres are advised to sign All-Star free agent catcher James McCann as the franchise continues their search for a catcher for 2025.

Padres General Manager AJ Preller is well known for his willingness to swing trades and acquire talent in free agency, something that has propelled San Diego to the playoffs two out of the last three years.
