Central Ohio school districts have announced delays for Thursday as freezing rain blanketed the region overnight. According to a winter weather advisory from the National Weather Service, freezing rain overnight was expected to cause slippery roads and sidewalks. The advisory remained in place until 7 a.m. Thursday.

Update: School delays switch to closings, North Country early dismissals
UPDATE: Almost every school that was delayed earlier has now closed. In addition, North County school districts, which mostly hadn’t delayed or closed, are starting to announce early dismissals. EARLIER: More closings and delays have come in overnight and more are expected this morning.
