Marcus Sedberry, former Deputy Athletic Director, has been appointed as the new general manager for Wisconsin Football. Sedberry replaces Max Stienecker, who recently left for a similar position at USC.

Marcus Sedberry will “lead the Badgers roster management, player personnel and football operations” in the new role.

The Wisconsin football team has their new GM after Maximus Stienecker left the Badgers to become the Executive Director of Player Personnel for the USC Trojans a few weeks ago.

In that role, he worked closely with Badgers coach Luke Fickell and oversaw the program’s roster management. In his new role Sedberry will lead the Badgers roster management, player personnel and football operations.

Fickell prioritized that experience and proximity to the program during the hiring process. "Marcus is somebody that's been close to the program that we know well," Fickell told the Mike Heller Show on Monday afternoon.
