Apple’s latest line of MacBook Pro models now feature the M4 silicon chip inside. This is either the standard M4 or one of the more advanced Pro or Max versions. I’ve used most of the generations of the Apple silicon over the years and it never ceases to impress me how fast and efficient they really are.

16-inch MacBook Pro, and Mac mini models with the M4 Pro chip, according to Ars Technica's Andrew Cunningham. The feature was previously limited to Macs with Apple's highest-end "Max" chip, so this is the first time it is available on Macs with a "Pro" chip.

With the M4, Apple finally has a base MacBook Pro that’s less of a parts-bin compromise and more of an actual Pro machine. It’s a laptop you can buy and not feel like you’re caught in between anything.
