ASHEVILLE, N.C. (FOX Carolina) - The City of Asheville Water has lifted a boil water advisory that went into affect more than 50 days ago after Hurricane Helene. The City of Asheville Water said sampling results confirmed that the flushing process that began on Oct. 30 has turned and boil water has been replaced with treated water.

Asheville lifted its boil water notice this morning, city spokesperson Clay Chandler shared this morning at a press briefing. The notice was lifted after the city’s water department tested 120 samples over the weekend. Turbidity is under 15 and the city expects it to remain low enough to process and meet demand.
