The Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) and the National Stock Exchange (NSE) will remain closed on October 2 on account of the Gandhi Jayanti. Trading in derivatives, equities, SLBs, currency derivatives, and interest rate derivatives will remain shut for the day.

The Indian financial markets are set to observe a holiday on Wednesday, October 2, 2024, as the National Stock Exchange (NSE), Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE), and the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX) will remain closed in honour of Gandhi Jayanti.

There will be two holidays for Indian stock market in the month of October on the occassion of Mahatma Gandhi Jayanti and Dussehra.

Similarly, the National Stock Exchange has also marked 2nd October as a holiday for equity trading, according to its holiday calendar.

The first holiday in October for BSE and NSE is scheduled on October 2, which will also be its only special holiday of the month. The rest of them are weekends.
