As the floodwaters have cleared and cleanup efforts are underway in Cocke County after Helene, local election officials announced Tuesday that registered voters can cast their ballots at a new location.

Donations are being gathered at drop-off centers around East Tennessee to send to Cocke County residents in the aftermath of Hurricane Helene, which brought extreme flooding and resulted in at least two deaths over the weekend.

In East Tennessee, Carter, Cocke, Greene, Hamblen, Johnson, Sevier, Unicoi and Washington counties were the worst hit.
