You've likely noticed some spotty color even around the Boston area and throughout southern New England, particularly in the low-lying areas. The best color right now is in the highest elevations of the Green and White Mountains as well as the northern crown of Maine.

It might not be an ideal weekend for fall foliage viewing, with cloudy skies and spotty showers in the forecast, but many trees across the Garden State are starting to show some color. And trees in a few counties — Atlantic,
