As a play with parallels to today’s political climate had its official Broadway premiere, famous friends celebrated its star, George Clooney. He brushed aside talk of a political future.

After the show last night, Clooney’s celebrity friends and loved ones stayed around for an after-party. Of course, it was the starriest of affairs, bringing in big industry names including Cindy Crawford and Rande Gerber, Hugh Jackman (who starred in his own Broadway revival a couple years ago), Uma Thurman, and Jennifer Lopez.

Despite George Clooney's very best intentions, "Good Night, and Good Luck" stumbles in a Broadway production that is far too on the nose.
