George Lucas knew exactly what he was working with, and even if the prequel never stuck the landing in terms of quality, the desire for all things Star Wars was unlikely to wane.

Developed by Aspyr, the same studio behind last year’s Star Wars Bounty Hunter remaster, this new and improved version of Jedi Power Battles is out now on basically every platform under the sun. And like the original it includes local co-op as well as multiple characters (include non-Jedi ones) to play as, and 10 levels to work through.

Despite the tepid reception back in 2000, the Jedi Power Battles remaster is a fun return to simpler times when Star Wars video games were allowed to be weird.

To play as Jar Jar Binks in Star Wars: Jedi Power Battles, you need to complete the main story on any difficulty level. Once you complete the game, you will unlock a number of new playable characters, including Jar Jar Binks – everyone’s favourite Gungan.

Graphically, Jedi Power Battles is a huge improvement with this remastered release. It’s sharp, textures are much higher quality, there’s even reflections in places! If all you’re after is to replay the game, but with it looking like how you remember it in your rose-tinted memories, then this is the game for you.
