With a career in Mercedes-Benz design that spanned 41 years, Bruno Sacco created some of the German automaker’s best-selling and most loved cars of the 1980s and 1990s, and his influence can still be felt today.

Born in Italy with German citizenship, Sacco was Chief Designer of Mercedes-Benz from 1975 until retirement in 1999. Some notable models that were created while he was head of Mercedes' design department include all four body variants of the E-Class, the W201 Mercedes-Benz 190, as well as the W126 S-Class.

Responsible for many of the automaker's most iconic vehicles, including the S-Class 126, E-Class 124) and the 190 (W 201).
