GRAND RAPIDS, MI – Over 120,000 utility customers remain without power Wednesday, April 2, as another round of storms barrel into Michigan. Most of the outages are in Northern Michigan, which was blanketed by ice on Saturday. “Little Traverse Bay in Northern Michigan is absolutely decimated,” a resident wrote on X.

Consumers Energy said they’re hoping to restore power to the majority of customers in the region by the end of the day Friday, April 4. The company said about 100,000 customers lost power due to the ice storm. Consumers Energy wants to remind everyone to never go near a downed power line.
