Tottenham Hotspur's under-fire manager Ange Postecoglou finally had some better injury news as he confirmed defender Micky van de Ven will feature against IF Elfsborg on Thursday.

Last month, Van de Ven issued an injury update by captioning his Instagram post: “On the way.” Now, Tottenham insider Paul O’Keefe has revealed that Van de Ven is “on course to be included in Thursday’s squad” for his side’s contest against IF Elsborg in the Europa League.

Ange Postecoglou has confirmed Micky van de Ven is set return from injury for Tottenham against Elfsborg in the Europa League on Thursday. Van de Ven has been out since suffering his latest hamstring injury in the 4-3 defeat to Chelsea on December 8.

Micky van de Ven started his first game since Spurs’ 4-3 defeat to Chelsea in December in the win over Elfsborg, a welcome return for Ange Postecoglou. The Dutchman is one of Tottenham’s best defenders and has been out for almost two months, along with Cristian Romero, who was coincidentally also injured in the defeat to Chelsea.
