You can use an add-in called "Note Highlight" which supports many different programming languages, You can just highlight the code and press which language you want and it will automatically format it for you including indentations/coloring etc.

Feb 28, 2025 · I'm currently using an addon for OneNote 365 Desktop. Seems to work well so far. The program adds a new section to the ribbon for inserting code. Simply click the button and a new window pops up. Paste the code in there, choose your background and syntax highlight colors, and click ok. The program will create 2x1 table.

May 26, 2022 · Currently, you can change the text style of code to make it look like code. Ideally there should be a widget which allows you to have a code block and reformat / highlight the syntax based on the language selected for that code block.

Generally, you can embed the executable code snippets from Repl.it into OneNote (Class Notebook). However, based on my test, it may not work by just copying the sharing link of Repl.it. For your reference: Now teachers can include live code demo in OneNote.
