Aug 25, 2023 · The trick is to name the your main .html file as a .shtml file. It is still an html file, but now the server will look inside for other files that you can include this way. <!--#include file="Preamble.txt" --> Your Preamble.txt can be another .html file that you want to be included in your main file. This is called SSI (Server Side Includes).

Method 1: I think it would be best way to include an html content/file into another html file using jQuery. You can simply include the jQuery.js and load the HTML file using $("#DivContent").load("yourFile.html");

Mar 24, 2009 · You can say that it is with PHP, but actually it has just one PHP command, all other files are just *.html. You should have a file named .htaccess in your web server's /public_html directory, or in another directory, where your html file will be and you will process one command inside it.

Sep 25, 2011 · The former syntax is SSI, the latter is PHP.Both are server technologies and will only work if accessed from an HTTP server that supports and is configured to check the file for the syntax (which usually means you have to turn the support on and use a .shtml/.php file extension (or change the config from the default to determining which files to check)).

Dec 3, 2024 · Files which are truly HTML parsed files can not include another file to my knowledge. If you web server will parse php you could simply change the extension of the the main file to .php and include() the topbar file: mv index.html index.php index.php: include_once("topbar.html");
