There are a couple of features the Windows version is missing, like Dolby Atmos, changing the size of lists, no custom EQ. Although, I think the Windows app is a nicer looking and more modern app. If it fixed a few bugs and added those last few features, the Windows app would be really good and make the Mac Apple Music team rethink their app.

The Spotify app, whilst not great, at least has fully functional features. Apple Music on Windows has so many issues with features, Lossless audio randomly shoots to 100% volume during playback, if you browse too much the whole app crashes and the only way to fix it is to force it to shutdown via Task Manager. Nov 21, 2022 · One thing that I might recommend as a sorta workaround is using Apple Music on your phone with the official Windows 11 phone integration - it works pretty damn well as an audio output (and the app has options like a crossfader, I hate that the web version doesn't have that).

I used Apple Music throughout the year 2023. I gave up on Apple Music and switched to Tidal because Apple clearly isn't committed to creating a seamless user experience across platforms (Windows, Android, Web, Mac, iOS). The user experience of Apple Music on Windows is completely different from that of using the service on Android or the Web.

So i just downloaded Apple Music on Windows 11, logged in with my Apple ID and played an album and realised that the sound comes from the laptop's speakers instead of from my headphones. All other audio comes through my headphones (Internet, Discord etc) as i have selected the audio output to be through my headphones.

Apple Music on Windows Looks like Apple Music on Windows now properly displays the audio quality with this update if you click on the Lossless icon while playing. It still displays the AAC file format if you view in the properties menu though.
