Jun 29, 2023 · Look up LPR 'silent reflux'. That cough isn't very silent, I know! And once the violent coughing starts happening it gets scary. If you think you have it your doctor can provide medication and these management things have settled my symptoms so much I no longer cough (and don't need medication). Management things:

Dec 22, 2023 · A couple times my doctor prescribed a Bricanyl inhaler to try and suppress the cough, since my lungs sounded fine. Saw a different doctor and he immediately suspected acid reflux which is being particularly aggravated when I get sick. Got on a course of prescription anti reflux drugs and it helped.

Feb 3, 2024 · I also wonder if it's possible a diagnosis of acid reflux could tie this in with the tinnitus - I've heard it said that acid reflux can cause tinnitus occasionally. The tinnitus as I say is intermittent - it's louder some days and quieter other days - but it's always present. I think that's about it! Otherwise I feel fine. Anyone have any thoughts?

There was little rhyme or reason and anything I até gave me heartburn, even waiting 6 hours then going to bed I would get reflux which woke me up. All antacids did were weaken the reflux burn.
