Jul 3, 2022 · When doors are unlocked, pressing the pressure switch inside the winged Chrysler emblem should release the latch to open the liftgate. When doors are locked, it should not. As for the "for now".... the pressure switch inside the winged Chrysler emblem fails with age but the usual failure mode is "won't open at all."

Jul 22, 2022 · The add-on pushbutton switch is faster to do as you don't have to remove the Chrysler "wing" emblem and replace it. This guy apparently has not yet dealt with the 3M adhesive that holds it on after the three screws are removed. Plus, a new switch only costs $5 or so instead of (now) $300 or so.

Walter P. Chrysler introduced DeSoto in the summer of 1928. Chrysler's announcement immediately attracted 500 dealers.
