The first Danish Festival was held on August 18, 1965. Today a 12-20 member Board of Directors and hundreds of volunteers are responsible for developing and presenting the festival, which draws crowds of over 55,000.

The stage will support the festival’s annual entertainment programming under the Tivoli Gardens entertainment tent. Tivoli Square will offer opportunities for community groups and others to utilize the stage and the facility itself for numerous events happening throughout the year.

For over a decade, the Danish Festival and the Rotary Club have partnered to bring you the official Tivoli Gardens Beer Tent of the festival! Many different beers are on tap as well as live music talents!

The Meijer Grand Dansk parade remains one of the largest parades in our area! The parade features great fun for all ages, where you can find scores of floats, local marching bands, and novelties which all join together to celebrate our annual festival and Danish Heritage!
