Mar 15, 2016 · The Liberty Science Center received a $5 million donation — it’s largest from a single donor — to convert its IMAX theater into the largest planetarium in the western hemisphere. The upgrade to the theater, the largest domed IMAX theater in North America, will also convert the projector from film to digital.
