Dec 4, 2003 · the film has lots of 944's in it, mostly in a garage showroom! and a 911. i believe the film is called "surrogate". made in montreal. he is a porsche mechanic, and a lot of the shots are in the garage/showroom. i will try and dig the video out, and make sure the name is correct. quite awesome seeing so many 944 cars, featured in a film!

Jun 29, 2011 · Last night on COPS, TruTV about 8:00 PM MST they pulled over a stolen 944 (red 85.5+ with phonedials. The guy claimed that his friend sold him the car for 3k, to which the LEO answered "That's a pretty new Porsche, it's a lot more than 3K dollars!"

No in the movies, but there was a tangerine 914 on The Late Late Show with James Corden tonight. He was doing a carpool karaoke with Usher and they came upon these guys pushing a 914 down the road. It looks like it just came from paint and going to reassembly.

"No Man's Land" (1987) was pretty much THE Porsche movie with many 911's, a light blue 930 in a car chase scene, and a black Slantnose replica. The main Porsches were a light blue 911 SC Cab and a Guards Red 911 Carrera Targa.

Mar 7, 2008 · I wouldnt worry about it. Plenty of people use chips with 6800 rpm limits and 7000rpm rev limits. The drive train on the 944 is far to heavy to support high RPM for prolonged periods. The crank shaft for example looks like it came out of a diesel truck. The other issue is the oil pump cavitating.. and the valve train really cant support it either.
