Back in the early/mid 90s people used them to watch Video CD's, just like the Philips CD-i (even the 3DO and PS1 had VCD add-ons). I personally wouldn't rush out to buy one unless you collect old VCD movies. My Victor V-Saturn came with one already installed and the Hitachi Hi-Saturn usually comes with it too.

May 4, 2020 · Looks like the Saturn cores in retroarch are looking for iso files. Tried to convert one (had to convert the multi-bin files to one bin, then iso). This keeps erroring on me when I open. Is there a Saturn emulator that natively accepts bin/clue? What's the best way to convert a multi bin / cue to an iso? I feel like my way is convoluted. THANKS!

Dec 28, 2020 · Beetlecore will be your best for saturn... although I have had nothing but struggles emulating saturn games but that's the core I got it on. Secondly I would recommend Redream for Dreamcast Emulation. It's just very easy to use. One hint there is a turbo button that try not to hit. Took me a while to figure out how I was running at 300fps too fast.

Got the Saturn 4 and so far no regrets. Just wanted to keep it simple and established. Call me old fashioned but moving parts always mean more trouble, especially when it's the first generation of something.
