Jan 14, 2022 · Was the AKM better than the '103? The AK-103 is just an AK-74 pattern in 7.62x39 - left sidefolding stock, 90 degree gas block, and 24mm muzzle threads. Functionally it is the same as an AKM beyond the above mentioned, at least as far as I know.
