Jan 2, 2024 · Well, actually, I'm not sure what year my doors are. The previous owner used parts from different years to rebuild my Pacer. I do know they have the metal 'hump' on the doors and the panels therefore have the extension/grip on top. My Limited Pacer doesn't. It has a open handle/grip on top of the panel, no metal hump on top.

Jul 1, 2013 · The AMC Pacer drivers side manifold is unique to the AMC Pacer. It is bent in wards between cylinders 5 and 7 to clean the steering shaft. Other log style manifolds will work but there may be a rubbing issue or engine vibration felt in the steering.

Mar 18, 2024 · 75-78 AMCs use a "big bearing" spindle and rotors. Those are nearly impossible to find, expensive if you do. 71-74 Kelsey Hayes brakes used a unique rotor and are hard to come by as well. 79-83 used the same rotor, the easiest to find. If you swap to an AMC setup use from a 79-83 Concord/Spirit/Pacer.

Nov 9, 2019 · Here is some pictures of all 3 steering arms bolted together for comparison . 71-74 Javelin, ARGO and stock Pacer. The ARGO arm is in the middle, its the same as the Pacer except there is no left/right as the tie-rod boss is straight and has a 5/8" holes as previously mentioned. And the top boss is thicker, same as the Javelin boss.
