I liked Shanna until I heard about the remarks she'd made about immigration agreeing with Le Pen. I try not to hold someone's politics against them but it definitely soured me on her. I'm not happy to see her go, but if she has been hard to work with or made some of the other talent feel bad, then i guess its up to AEW to not renew her contract.

Shanna’s back, everybody. I always thought she was a standout in the ring during AEW’s infancy. Hopefully she isn’t too rusty after all these months - would love to see her reignite her feud with Nyla!

Jun 1, 2021 · Fightful has reached out to Shanna about the rumor, which we heard from talent, not AEW officially. Awesome Kong hasn't been around much, if at all in the last 16 months. When Kong was no longer cleared to wrestle, AEW pushed along the split of the Nightmare Collective.

Jun 1, 2021 · AEW has updated their roster page after Double or Nothing. Mark Henry has been added to the roster but two women have been removed: Awesome Kong and Shanna. Awesome Kong wrestled her last match for the company in January of last year and the Nightmare Collective was disbanded shortly after.

Shanna isn't future centerpiece of the division, but I hope they signed her to be a midcard veteran who can help out. It was nice to see an AEW women's match where there isn't constant woman stands there with a deer in headlight look instead of doing something, anything.
