South Stack is set in a spectacular location to the north-west of Holyhead. The lighthouse acts as a waymark for coastal traffic and a landmark and orientation light for vessels crossing the Irish Sea to and from the ports of Holyhead and Dun Laoghaire.

Here, you can discover the beauty of the island, both coastal and inland, with an inspiring walk or gentle cycle ride before exploring bustling local markets to find some delicious home-grown treats. Or simply gather all the family to enjoy a picnic and an afternoon of rock pooling on one of Anglesey’s many beaches – the choice is yours.

The Dingle woodland nature reserve forms part of the valley of the Afon Cefni, which flows through the centre of Llangefni, Anglesey’s county town.
