Or at least, she wanted to give it a try and hope the love would come afterwards, but it never did. the only reason why these two got together in the first place was bc Ashfur got too pushy. during their short time together, Ashfur showed to be overprotective and non-caring of Squirrelflight boundaries.

But yes- murdering cats isn’t justified- which is why I don’t find it fair that ashfur got away with it- because he was very very close to killing so many cats for revenge. Mapleshade had a kind of good reason to become a villain- Ashfur didn’t really and overreacted a lot.
