Mar 26, 2010 · 0.92 Atrazine is essentially useless; try looking at Scott brand of St. Augustine weed & feed, I believe it contains 1.23% or so; actually for the home owner Lesco with peloxalum (or something like that since my supply is under 25 50lb bags 0f 10-10-10; I'm sure that some-one will correct me )is more effective especially on broad leaf.

Jan 7, 2016 · All atrazine products with an ai load above a particular threshold (I don't remember what the number is right now) are labeled as restricted use. But, those under that threshold are not. Also, the lower concentration allows larger amounts to be measured for mixing, which is easier for small operators and homeowners.

However the old atrazine was 40%. I agree with the EPA on this one as Atrazine moves horizontally in clay and loam and quickly moves downward in sandy soil into the water levels.

However, it does have slightly less of a post emergent activity on weeds vs Atrazine explained by its lower water solubility. It can also last longer as a preemergent due to that property as well.

Spot treatment with watered down Atrazine only after 30 days or longer of Weed & Feed. CPO can still buy 4L Atrazine as a RUP and must keep records of every drop used. There are too many alternative herbicides to list here.
