The Airbus Helicopter AS350 Light Enforcement Helicopter (LEH) is a short-range, turbine-powered helicopter used by CBP’s Air and Marine Operations to perform missions such as aerial patrol and surveillance of stationary or moving targets. These LEHs are the optimal aerial surveillance platform in metropolitan areas

To meet border security threats and challenges, Air and Marine Operations (AMO) deploys aircraft and maritime vessels to air and marine branches and units throughout the country to provide rapid response capabilities.

The Eurocopter AS350 is used by the Customs and Border Protection (CBP) in surveillance and security patrol missions since the 1990s. Under the Light Enforcement Helicopter (LEH) contract, 50 new aircraft ordered in 2008 with 14 delivered by February 2010.
