As originally purchased, both the F-3's and "Babyfaces" cabs were intended for use as three (3) unit sets, so they were numbered: 50A51 etc. At the time of original purchase the sets were not configured for inter-manufacturer "hook-up" which was to become very common in later years.

ARHS' former CNJ RS3 1554 is stored at the old CNJ Jim Thorpe yard with old Rail Tours Inc. equipment. In March of this year Reading & Northern will move all the equipment out with the 1554 rumored to come back to New Jersey.

Mar 7, 2025 · At least one other CNJ RS-3 exists, though it has been "DeWitted." There is an SW-1 at RMDI awaiting an angel. At least one SD40 is still on the road (rebuilt to SD-40-2 specs) and the GP40P's remain in service on NJ Transit (also rebuilt).
