Mar 8, 2022 · If it's an original IBA XM3, buy it. $7k is a great price on a real IBA XM3, but since it's been sitting there forever you might be able to make an offer and get an even better deal. If it's a Remington XM3, buy something else (unless the XM3 is your Holy Grail rifle and you absolutely need any kind of XM3 clone).

Apr 17, 2024 · You can read about the actual DARPA and IBA testing in the PDF's below. I encourage all of you guys to read these documents. No where is there any mention of an XM3 with detachable magazines, there's only XM3's with the M4 bottom metal. So, no USMC issued XM3's with magazines, and no prototype DARPA tested XM3's with magazines.

Mar 4, 2020 · They are all stamped on the underside of the rail just in front of the recoil lug. Basically the portion that extends over the barrel shank. Should anyone have an interest in one of these, I could be talked out of them. Please know, these were on L/E xm3 builds. Yes, the XM3 package was available to L/E agencies. 52 total rifles went to the USMC.

Oct 9, 2021 · That's a great build, congrats! Not many people have XM3 clones, oddly enough there's probably more real USMC XM3's in private hands then clones! I bet your rifle shoots great, the 2112's at PWS really know how to build an accurate rifle. For a minty rifle the bolt has a decent amount of wear, I wonder if it's a real XM3 take-off bolt.

Sep 21, 2014 · The XM3 was a DARPA program rifle so with out a copy of the purchasing documents who knows what the real deal is. I'd think if the weapon is not military that the CMP will indicate that when it goes to auction, if it goes to auction. They have had to return items because it was not allowed to be sold to the public.
