Jul 23, 2018 · European data center operator Data4 has been acquired by AXA Investment Managers for an undisclosed amount. Part of the company was already owned by AXA, and this month it purchased the remaining 63 percent from its original owner, American investment management firm Colony Capital. Data4 was established by Colony Capital in 2006.

Apr 11, 2023 · AXA IM Alts said it has entered into an agreement to sell the European data centre platform to Brookfield Infrastructure without disclosing any financials. Media reports, ahead of the deal, last month valued Data4 at around €3.5bn. Data4 finances, designs, builds and operates its own data centres.
